Osaka Monaurail (オーサカ-モノレール Ōsaka Monorēru) is the funkiest band Japan has to offer. Formed in Osaka in 1992, after 17 years the aim of the group still remains the same. Just. Plain. Funk. Bandleader Ryo Nakata often says in interviews 'we've been working very hard for all these years only to find a way to play funk music.' Currently based in Tokyo, the band has been touring Europe's top concert venues for many years and are available for their first dates in Canada July 5 - 12, 2012.
