Daughters of the Revolution is an Ottawa based project that fuses electro, hip-hop, spoken word and punk. The group blends political and socially conscious lyrics with neck breaking instrumentation to make audiences dance and think at the same time. It features a number of Ottawa's premier artists: vocalist Ian Keteku (The Recipe, 2010 World Poetry Slam Champion), on drums Olivier Fairfield (e-tron music), on electric guitar / samples Omar Rivero (produced on Shad's first album), and Usmane Ali on bass (Scattered Clouds and other projects).
Ottawa Food Bank lists the following items as 'most needed': canned fish and meat, canned vegetables and fruit, whole grain cereal, cooking oil, dry pasta and sauce, baby diapers, baby formula, household products, juice (boxes or cans), legumes (canned or dried), macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, personal hygiene items, rice, soups.
